One-Night Meditation Retreat in a Private Forest- Creating New Year Intention

January 22, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

1-night meditation retreat in a 30-acre private forest in the Piney Woods of Texas. Group & solo meditation option, food & tents provided.

Start your year off right by spending time immersed in the forest. Outside of other’s fields of energy (and normal life) you will have time, space, and quiet to tune into yourself and get aligned with your inner voice for the coming year.

We’ve specifically chosen the date of January 21/22 because of its significance in Astrology and Human Design. This date marks the time when the sun will enter the 41st gate, which marks the creation of a new human experiential cycle on earth. It is a time to turn inward and create your next year based on being in touch with your inner truth. Whether you are into those modalities or not, we figure, it couldn’t hurt to utilize this date, right?

Our Intention:
Our intention for this retreat is to provide attendees with space in nature to reconnect to their truth, shed the energy of the previous year and begin their next year in alignment with themselves. We will provide group meditation opportunities as well as plenty of time for solo meditation and reflection. Each person will be encouraged to select a location away from the other attendees to have their solo meditations. It is important that we remove ourselves from the energy fields of others in order to feel our own truth.

The Location:
The retreat will be located on a private 30-acre plot of forested property in the Piney Woods of Texas. Please note, the location is very rustic. We will have an RV for running water, toilet and shower but attendees will sleep in provided tents (or are welcome to bring their own). South Texas is also home to many critters, including bugs (chiggers, spiders, mosquitos and more), snakes (including 9 poisonous varieties), poison oak and poison ivy. Deer, wild hogs, raccoons, and other animals frequent the property. This retreat is not recommended for those who are uncomfortable with camping and the outdoors. You will be required to sign a safety waiver, which will indemnify the owner of any liability for injury while on the property or participating in the retreat.

What’s Included:
-Individual Tent, Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Chair
-Bug Spray
-3 Meals (1 Dinner, 1 Lunch, 1 Breakfast) and water, tea and coffee
-Mask & hand sanitizer
-Shared bathhouse facility in our RV for shower, toilet, and hand washing.
-Transportation will be included from a location near downtown Houston. You are also welcome to meet us at the property if you would prefer.
-We will include instruction on meditation if desired.

What You Should Bring:
Layers of clothing (weather will likely be moderate, but south Texas can be cold or hot this time of year), boots that come to mid-calf are recommended for walking through tall grass, you may want to bring additional blankets or coats and an umbrella or rain jacket.

Itinerary:
People can begin arriving as early as 12 pm, we are hoping everyone can arrive by 3 pm.
3:15 pm Intention setting, orientation the property, and tent assignments and walking the property to select your location for your solo reflective/meditative time.

All activities will provide at least 6 feet of outdoor distance. Tents will not be shared, they will be individual. We will use a colored lanyard system to denote people who do not want to be approached without a mask on (we have used this in our other retreats and it works very well. People are respectful). If you want to use the transportation we provide, all passengers in the vehicle and driver will be required to wear masks. Driver is vaccinated and has had his booster shot. Masks will be provided as well as hand sanitizer.
